Stacie Hunt, CPM, CH
Stacie Hunt has been practicing midwifery for over 24 years. She began her journey with apprenticing at The Farm in Summertown, TN. After finishing her apprenticeship she stayed on as a staff midwife for over 20 years before opening her own private practice. In 2020 she joined forces with Matt Niswander NP to open a clinic that includes Niswander Family Medicine and Whole Woman Birth and Wellness under one roof to provide healthcare from the beginning of life to the end. They serve all surrounding areas including the large Amish community in Ethridge, TN. While at The Farm Stacie served as primary midwife and helped facilitate and teach the midwifery workshops. Stacie also has over 7 years experience working in a hospital setting in labor and delivery. She is a Certified Herbalist, certified in aromatherapy use during pregnancy and childbirth, has a diploma in Naturopathy and certifications in Women’s health and hormone testing and treatment. In Stacie’s clinic, Whole Woman Birth and Wellness she offers full spectrum midwifery care, well woman care, nutritional IV therapy, a number of detox methods and treatments, herbal consultations and treatments. Stacie is also owner of Whole Woman Herbs offering a broad spectrum of herbal remedies. She has spoken and taught at numerous midwifery conferences in the past and hopes to expand her practice into a midwifery school offering hands on experience. Stacie lives in Leoma, TN with her husband, one of her son’s and grandson. She has five children ranging in ages of 12 to 30 years old. She has experienced birth every way possible. A vaginal birth in the hospital, a homebirth, an emergency c section at 33 weeks, an attempted Vbac that ended in a second section and then another homebirth after two c sections. Needless to say she has a special place in her heart for vbacs. She has attended over 4,000 births in the hospital setting and at home, including numerous vbacs, breeches and twin’s. Stacie is certified in NRP, STABLE and CPR. services to a wide range of commercially and residential properties for over 35 years.
Laura McClure, Midwifery Assisant, Office Manager
Laura McClure has worked alongside Stacie for over 15 years as her assistant. She has extensive experience as an assistant, working in herbs, breastfeeding, teaching and providing guidance and care for women before, during and after birth. Along with Stacie she helps manage and run Whole Woman Birth and Wellness. Along with her husband she lives in Leoma, TN with their daughter age 12 and their son age 20 (in college, studying to be a veterinarian) both were born at home. She has completed the requirements to be a CPM candidate. Laura has caught over 300 babies and attended over 1000 births. Laura is certified in NRP, STABLE and CPR.provided exceptional landscaping services to a wide range of commercial and residential properties for over 35 years.
Amanda Fralix, Midwifery Assistant, Doula
Amanda Fralix is the newest member of the Whole Woman staff. She is a doula and midwife assistant. Amanda has extensive knowledge in the birth process and breastfeeding. She is passionate about car seat safety and baby wearing. She assists with every part of the practice at WWBW, is certified in NRP and CPR and teaches childbirth classes. Amanda lives in Lawrenceburg, TN with her husband and two son’s ages three and two. She is expecting her third baby in June. Her first birth was a c section and her second a vbac. She strongly supports the natural birth process and like the other staff at WWBW she is a huge advocate for vbac. Amanda joined the Whole Woman team a year ago and has been a strong asset to the Whole Woman Birth and Wellness team.provided exceptional landscaping services to a wide range of commercial and residential properties for over 35 years.
Briana Sisk, Midwifery Assisitant
Briana has worked in healthcare for almost six years and Is our newest midwifery assistant at Whole Woman Birth and Wellness. Briana lives in Lawrenceburg, TN with her husband and two little boys, ages three years and nine months. Both of her children were born at home with Stacie and her birth team. She is very passionate about the natural birth process, breastfeeding, and women’s health.
